RAD Standard Bearers Gorget

Produced in a highly polished steel that remains shiny with some minor surface scratches. It is shield shaped and features a separately applied, metal RAD motto in the center. Above the motto is engraved the script Arbeit adelt (Work Makes You Stronger). The dished reverse is missing its felt lining. There is an upright tab which was used to attach to the uniform for stabilization while in use. This tab is engraved with the makers name and location, reading Steinhauer u. Luck, Ldenscheid. There are two rings on the back for the fixed chain, which is full-length, also being polished steel.
