Published Japanese Chokunin Grade Imperial Court Sword

The sword has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 31 inches, with a blade length of approximately 23-1/2 inches. The etched blade shows dark spots on both sides where plating has been lost. The guard, hilt, and scabbard fittings all show a fine toning of the fire gilt finish. The wire wrapping of the grip remains tight. The leather scabbard shows a fine polish and it is without cracks or damage. The sword was published in a reference book on Japanese swords, and that page is included with the sword.
