Pre WWII U.S. Army Officer White Top Visor Cap
The removable white cotton top shows typical spots and age toning, but it is without tears or holes. The surface of the black leather visor exhibits typical scuffs and crazing. The gold tape chin strap shows tarnish and age toning. The gilt officer eagle on the peak is unmarked. The cap has a basket weave interior body support, with the peak stiffened by a steel band with a celluloid wrapping. The interior retains a full leather sweatband. The interior of the cap has a celluloid sweat shield that is maker marked. Overall the cap is in very good condition.
