Post War Occupied Germany Sergeant’s Ike Jacket with Bullion German-Made Insignia

The Ike jacket was worn by a Sergeant of an artillery headquarters company serving with Allied Headquarters, and who had combat service during the war with the U.S. Seventh Army. The jacket has a German made bullion patch on the left shoulder for Supreme Headquarters, with a German made bullion Seventh Army patch on the right shoulder. The sleeves have Sergeant chevrons, a bullion Meritorious Unit Commendation patch, and four overseas service chevrons. The collar has a “U.S.” disk as well as a disk for an artillery headquarters company. On the left shoulder is the fourragère of the French Croix de Guerre. All of the cloth insignia is finely cross stitched to the uniform. The jacket is tagged as a size 36 regular. The interior tags reflect post-war production in accordance with the 1944 wartime pattern for the jacket. The jacket is in excellent condition, showing actual wear and use but without holes, stains or damage, although the cuff button on the left sleeve is missing.
