Philippine Constabulary Leather Cartridge Belt
Leather cartridge belt with a brass two piece “PC” buckle. The brass buckle has an uncleaned patina and some verdigris. The belt shows typical signs of wear and age but the leather is supple and the belt is complete. The belt in its current configuration is approximately 27 inches long with the ability to adjust the belt and extend the length by approximately 7 inches. Among the first known Philippine Constabulary orders was with Hartley Graham in New York for 5,000 Remington 12 Ga, single-shot shotguns was a contract for 5,000 leather cartridge belts with 2-piece brass buckles. They were tongue-and-wreath style with the letters “P C” in the center of the tongue. Item number 32462.
