Pair High Ranking Forest Service Shoulder Boards

The shoulder boards are the slip on style. The braid is the same design as was used by officers of the rank of General in the military, except that General’s shoulder boards had four loops of cording and these boards have five loops (although exceptions were known and photographs of the period do show at least one Army General wearing shoulder boards with five loops of cord on his uniform). The cording is green, bordered on each side with gold bullion, the cords being laid on a base of forest green velvet. The set is in excellent condition showing light use.
