Painted Seabees 78th Battalion M-1941 Field Jacket

The M-1941 field jacket was painted on the back with the insignia of the U.S. Navy Construction Battalions, and the designation of the 78th Battalion, which served in the Pacific Theater and engaged in operations in locations such as Guadalcanal and Okinawa. The jacket shows expected signs of wear and use in the field, with spots, stains, and a hole next to the back side seam that is approximately 1/2 inch long by 1/4 inch wide. The jacket is fully lined in olive drab wool. The jacket retains all buttons and a working Talon zipper.
