Order of the Golden Kite 1st or 2nd Class Breast Star

The breast star was worn on the left chest when conferred as a part of a 1st class award, and on the right chest when conferred as a part of a 2nd class award. The breast star has two small chips to the enamel and some hairline cracks to the enamel of the rays of the star. The breast star is a large, heavy, and impressive example of Japan’s highest decoration for military bravery and service.
