The 1910 dated “Patent” named “Kurt Scheer” as an Oberleutnant of infantry. The document is approximately 8-3/8 inches by 14 inches. The document bears an impressed seal. It shows fold lines and it has a 4-1/4 inch horizontal separation along one of the fold lines. The royal appointment document of 1917, also for “Kurt Scheer”, is approximately 8-1/8 inches by 12-7/8 inches. The document has two horizontal fold lines and an impressed seal, and it bears the large pencil signature of Kaiser Wilhelm II.
