NSDAP Reichsnahrstand Official’s Enamel Office Sign

A large enamel sign, slightly vaulted, approximately 13 3/4 by 17 1/2 inches in size. The sign identified the office of the local leader (the “Ortsbauernfuhrer”) of the Nazi Party agricultural association, the Reichsnahrstand, which used the motto “Blut und Boden”, or “Blood and Soil”. The sign has some loss of enamel at one upper and one lower corner. There is some degree of “spiderweb” crazing on the enamel but no loss of surface other than at the two corners and at spots on the edges.
