The exterior wool body of the cap is generally quite clean, with one very small hole on the right side above the cap band. The front peak displays a bullion cap badge for the Sons of Veterans. The surface of the visor exhibits age crazing and edge scuffs. Across the visor is a toned gold bullion cap cord that is secured on the sides by New York State buttons. The full interior leather sweatband is present although the stitching at the center rear is gone and the sweatband is a bit loose at that spot. A faint maker mark is present on the interior crown lining. Overall very good condition.
