The cap is constructed of service quality wool. The cap reflects the characteristics of late war manufacturer, with the elimination of a lining and the replacement of the metal chin strap buttons with stitched leather disks. The interior leather sweatband is intact, and the underside has issue stamps. The cap shows few, if any, signs of actual wear or use and it is in near mint condition, without holes or damage.
