Named WWII U.S. Coast Guard Officer Visor Cap

The dark blue wool cap shows signs of age and use, but it is without holes, damage or repairs. The front displays a toned bullion insignia of an officer of the Coast Guard. The gold bullion chin cord is similarly toned. The surface of the visor shows minor scuffs and age crazing. The base of the cap has some wear. The interior leather sweatband is intact, as is the celluloid sweat shield, the pocket of which contains the name card of “Mr. Thomas Torgeson”. Overall very good  condition.
