Named WWII Rear Seam Swivel Bale M1 Combat Helmet by Schlueter

$395.00

The exterior olive drab, cork infused, paint is almost completely intact, showing some typical spots and minor scuffs from wear and use. The front interior of the helmet has a heat stamp that appears to be “4A” above the large “S” which marks the helmet as a piece produced by Schlueter. The helmet has a rear seam and swivel bales with the fabric chin strap in place. The interior of the helmet shell bears the stenciled name of “Robert D. Bowen” followed by a service number. The liner is manufacturer marked with the “S” used by the Seaman Paper Company. The liner has the front eyelet hole as well as the olive green cotton herringbone twill suspension straps. The rear nape strap bears the name of “RB Jensen” with a service number. The liner interior shows use but it is complete and intact. The liner retains the thin leather strap which was looped across the front of the helmet shell to secure the liner. Overall the helmet is in excellent condition.
