The wool body of the cap is quite clean, without holes or damage. The front displays the bullion insignia of the Merchant Marine, lacking the anchor device on the shield. The surface of the visor shows cracks and crazing. The interior of the cap has basket weave construction, with the full leather sweatband being intact. The celluloid sweat shield is in place, with the officer’s nameof “H.E. Moller” beneath the sweat shield. Overall very good condition.
