Named WWII Japanese Army Officer Wool Field Cap

The cap is constructed of a high quality olive green wool. The front peak carried the embroidered gold Imperial Army star. The exterior body of the cap exhibits some tracking and a few scattered tiny holes in the surface. The leather chin strap across the front visor is secured with gilt officer cherry blossom buttons. The full interior leather sweatband is present and the brown silken lining is intact. There is kanji written on the underside of the sweatband, with the officer’s name being “Kasamatu”. The field cap is in overall good condition, and while the cap shows signs of wear and age, it makes an very good appearance.
