$100.00

The wool four pocket tunic retains a Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot tag dated 1940 and marked as a size 36 Long. The interior bears the handwritten name of “Byron Baker” as well as the handwritten laundry mark of “B-1507”. The collar carries clutch back “U.S.” and Army Air Force disks. On the left shoulder is a British-made patch of the 9th Army Air Force, while on the right shoulder is the early embroidered wool “pinwheel” patch of the Army Air Force General Headquarters patch. Both sleeves carry the rank chevrons of a Master Sergeant. The lower left sleeve has six overseas service chevrons embroidered on a khaki base as well as a single Good Conduct enlistment chevron. On the upper left breast are multiple ribbons for medals which include the Purple Heart, the European Campaign Medal with a campaign star, and the American Defense Medal for military service before the Pearl Harbor attack. Below the ribbon bars is a marksmanship badge with “Rifle” bar. The tunic is in excellent used condition, without holes, repairs or damage.
