Named WWI U.S. Marine Corps Purple Heart / Good Conduct Medal / Victory Medal Group

The Purple Heart is on a split brooch suspension, officially named “Charles W. Sinden”, with the edge numbered “39306”. The decoration has an intact finish as well as intact enamel, and overall it is in excellent condition. The Good Conduct Medal is unnamed, with the edge numbered “No. 37189”. The Victory Medal is on a full wrap brooch suspension, with the bars “Aisne”; “Aisne-Marne”; and “Defensive Sector”. The medals are accompanied by a copy of Charles Sinden’s Marine Corps personnel file, which verifies that Sinden was wounded on July 19, 1918, while serving with the 6th Marine Regiment. Overall the group is in excellent condition.
