Named WWI Tunic of a Pilot with Two Air Victories

$1,950.00

A high quality, private purchase wool twill uniform jacket, named in the interior pocket with the handwritten identification of Lieutenant Lewis Turnbull, who was credited with aerial victories over two German airplanes while he was flying with the 96th Bombardment Squadron. The tunic has bullion pilot wings on the left breast and a single overseas service chevron on the lower left sleeve. On the left shoulder is a First Army air service patch. The collar displays Air Service insignia and 1st Lieutenant rank bars are present on the shoulder. The tunic has some very small scattered holes, but nothing that is a distraction. Overall very good condition.
