The group is comprised of an unnamed 1914-1914 Star and named British World War I War Service and Victory Medals. The War Medal and the Victory Medal are both named to “3121 Pte. M. Wilson E. Lanc. R.” (East Lancashire Regiment). Private Mathew Wilson of the 1st / 4th Battalion of the East Lancashire Regiment was killed in action on Wednesday, September 22, 1915 at Gallipoli. He is listed on the Helles Memorial in Turkey. Very good condition.
