Named WWI Army Air Service Pilot’s Tunic
$1,450.00
The tunic is tailored in a high quality ribbed khaki wool. The collar has officer “U.S.” and Army Air Service winged propeller insignia. The shoulders carry bullion Lieutenant rank insignia. On the upper left breast is a finely toned bullion aviator wing. On the left shoulder is the multi piece patch of the First Army Air Service units, while the lower left sleeve has a single bullion overseas service chevron. The interior pocket tailor label bears the name of “P.D. Nelson” and the date of “10/18”. This was Lieutenant Paul D. Nelson, who served with the 11th Aero Squadron. The tunic is very clean and, while it shows signs of actual use and wear, it makes an excellent appearance.
