Named Uncommon WWII Japanese Full Dress Uniform of a Warrant Officer of the Military Police
$1,950.00
The uniform is comprised of the full dress tunic and the full dress cap, together with the cap box and the dress plume that is contained within its protective tube and box. The tunic was tailored from a high quality wool with bullion embroidery ornamentation. The interior of the cap bears embroidered kanji with the officer’s name of “Uehara”. The upper center of the tunic has four widely spaced thread loops for the wear of a substantial ribbon or medal bar. Buttons on the tail are cover with storage paper. The interior of the tunic collar exhibits the label of the Tokyo tailor that fashioned the uniform. The white celluloid inserts remain in place inside of the collar and the cuffs. There are no shoulder knots. The uniform shows some small scattered holes to the wool cuffs, the tunic piping, and to the top of the cap, however the set makes a very impressive appearance.
