The white cotton cover of the cap exhibits spots, stains and age toning. The visor carries toned embroidered gold bullion oak leaves. The interior leather sweatband is present although itis largely detached. The interior is maker marked by the Wolf-Brown firm beneath a toned celluloid sweat shield. Also beneath the sweat shield is the name card of “Robert L. Gilman”in the Navy Department in Washington. Overall the cap makes a very good appearance.
