Named U.S. Marine Corps Officer Visor Cap

The white top visor cap shows age toning and a few spots, but it is without holes, damage or repairs. The surface of the patent leather visor exhibits a few minor scuffs. The front peak has a screw back eagle, globe and anchor insignia which is marked “221” on the reverse. The interior leather sweatband is intact, as is the celluloid sweat shield, beneath which is the logo of Lancaster brand caps. Beneath the sweatband is a size tag of 7-1/2. Within an interior pocket is the business card of George Arthur Perry, a Chief Warrant Officer of the Marine Corps. An online obituary for Perry states that he died in 2012 at age 87, with the obituary noting that Perry had graduated from high school in 1942, and that he had spent 22 years in the Marine Corps, rising to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer, specializing in aviation electronics. Overall very good condition.
