Named U.S. Army General Dress Visor Cap by Bancroft

A magnificent, post-World War II, U.S. Army officer visor cap, being the dress uniform visor of a General. The cap is a “Pak-Cap” model by Bancroft, with black wool top and black velvet cap band. The entire cap band is heavily embroidered with gold bullion oak leaves for its full circumference. The visor is similarly embroidered with bullion oak leaves. There is a paper name tag beneath the sweat shield on which is written “B. General Tournier”. The cap is exceptionally impressive and is in excellent condition. An interior tag states the size as 6 7/8.
