Named RAD Labor Service Generalarbeitsfuherer Uniform
$5,800.00
The tunic is a very high quality doeskin wool, with the bullion collar tabs and the shoulder boards of a Generalarbeitsfuherer of the Reich Labor Service. The tunic has gilt buttons and on the front left breast are four sets of thread loops for medals or badges, while above the left breast pocket are five loops for a ribbon bar. The left sleeve exhibits both the RAD unit insignia and a multi piece wool NSDAP armband that is sewn to the sleeve. The RAD sleeve insignia is that of “F-S 3” reflecting assignment at the Reich Labor Service Leader School number 3 (Feldmeisterschule 3) at Schloss Buddenburg bei Lünen. The interior of the tunic is fully lined, with internal snap closures for a military appearance. The interior of the tunic bears the label of the tailoring firm of Eduard Sachs of Berlin. The interior pocket also has a Sachs label that appears to bear the date of 1938 as well as the handwritten name of the owner. The trousers are tailored from a whipcord wool and the interior bears the label of the tailoring firm of Lennartz & Plein of Stuttgart. The tunic and trousers are in exceptional condition, without stains, damage, holes, or repairs.
