Named Japanese Hinomaru Flag with Tiger
An exceptionally artistic Hinomaru good luck flag presented to a Japanese soldier, Mr. Iwashita Senzo. The flag is cotton with leather corners and string ties, and is approximately 29 by 38 inches in size. The flag has a splendid rending of a prowling tiger, and the rising sun is surrounded by repeating kanji meaning “power/ strength”. Inside of the rising sun is written the magical incantation “Sa-Mu-Ha-Ra”. The flag also carries the declaration of “Prayers for Continued Luck on the Battlefield”, along with the name of Mr. Iwashita Senzo. The flag has a few minor spots but is dramatic and impressive in appearance.
