Named Imperial Prussian Parade Pickelhaube of the 9th (2nd Pomeranian) Colberg Grenadier Regiment “Count Gneisenau”

$2,850.00

The surfaces of the leather helmet show typical age crazing, with a few scuffs, but the helmet retains a very good shape and it displays a generally good polish. The one piece Imperial Prussian “Colberg 1807” front plate is retained through two holes in the front of the helmet with threaded posts. The brass front edge of the visor, the wappen front plate, the spike, the spike base, and the rear spine all show a light patina. The helmet displays Prussian and national colors cockades. A brass fish scale chin strap is present. The full leather liner is intact on the interior. The interior rear visor of the helmet bears an indistinct depot stamp. The front interior bears a label identifying the owner of the helmet as “Grenadier Hasenbank”. Overall the helmet is in very good condition and it makes an impressive appearance.
