Named Imperial German Kriegsmarine Model 1902 Navy Officer Dagger by WKC with Ivory Grip

The dagger has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 19 inches long, with a blade length of approximately 13 1/4 inches. The ricasso bears the knight’s helmet logo of the WKC firm. Both sides of the blade display frosted etched designs with decorative motifs which include the Imperial German crown, a fouled anchor, and a sailing ship. The blade has a few darker spots and some gray areas but is overall fairly bright. The guard is the capstan style with an anchor in the center panel, the reverse side having a release button for the dagger. The pommel, like the guard, is gilded brass, and it is in the form of the Imperial German State Crown, designed in 1871 after the unification of the states into the nation of Germany. The dagger grip is ivory and has a golden tone from age, but it is free of chips or cracks. The scabbard is straight, and without dents. The top front of the dagger is nicely script engraved with the name of “Strube”. Overall the dagger is in excellent condition.
