Named Imperial German Reservist Service Stein

A 1/2 liter pottery beer stein, approximately 7 inches tall overall. The stein depicts an Imperial German soldier, wearing a pickelhaube, and standing guard outside a sentry box. The stein carries the declaration of “Wer treu gedieat hat seine zeit, Dem sei ein volles Glas geweiht” (roughly translated as “Those who faithfully have done their time in service deserve a full mug”). The lid of the stein is engraved with the name “Eisenman” (The first initial, being in the old gothic script, is not entirely clear). The center of the lid has a porcelain inset depicting flowers and the worn “Andenken” (“In Memory”). Overall excellent condition.
