Named First Panzer Regiment Fahnenjunker Feldwebel Waffenrock Dress Uniform Tunic and Trousers
$1,850.00
The waffenrock dress uniform is comprised of the field gray tunic and the accompanying pink piped slate gray trousers. The uniform is a very high quality private purchase example, with the tailor’s name appearing on the interior hanging loops attached to the lining at the armpits. The interior lining retains a cloth label with the name of the soldier, “Heinrich Schmidt”, identifying him as a member of the 6th Company of the First Panzer Regiment. The shoulders carry the rank straps of a Fahnenjunker Feldwebel, a senior army non commissioned officer with the status of an officer candidate. Accordingly, the right breast displays an officer quality bullion eagle. The rank straps are secured by buttons with the relief number “6”, reflecting service in the 6th Company of the regiment, as indicated by the name label. The ribbon for the 1939 Iron Cross Second Class is sewn in the second buttonhole. On the lower left front of the tunic are sets of loops for three badges. The tunic is exceptionally clean, without holes, stains, damage, or repairs. The two lowest buttons on the front of the tunic are missing, although one of them is within the interior tunic pocket. The tunic is accompanied by the pink piped slate gray trousers. The trousers show evidence of wear, with some age toning on the creases and a few very small holes on the right front of the trousers near the fly. Overall the uniform is in very good condition and it makes an impressive appearance.
