The half liter pottery stein is approximately 5-1/2 inches tall, exclusive of the thumb lift. The stein commemorates service during the wartime Christmas (Kriegsweihnachten) of 1939 in Luftwaffe Nachschub Kompanie 2 of Luftgau XIII. The Luftwaffe Nachschub units were German Air Force supply units. The lid shows spots, scratches and verdigris, and the lid has a name scratched into the surface which appears to be “Jon Wagner”. The stein is in near mint condition, without chips or cracks.
