The oval black Japanned tin is approximately 8-1/2 inches by 7-1/4 inches by 3-1/2 inches deep. The lid bears a brass plaque which is engraved “Hon. C. Willoughby 9th Lancers”. The case shows wear to the finish. The plaque exhibits a dark and uncleaned patina.
