Named Army Panzer Grenadier Officer Overseas Cap

The cap is constructed of field gray wool, with the front having a silver wire Army eagle above an officer’s national colors cockade. The cockade is surmounted by a waffenfarbe soutache of light green for panzer grenadier, showing wear. The front flap scallop and the crown are piped in toned silver bullion. The body of the cap shows soiling and some small scattered holes. The interior lining is present, showing staining from wear, but being intact. The leather sweatband at the front of the cap interior is also present. The lining is marked as a size 60. The lining bears the handwritten name of “A. Kemper”. Overall a fine field worn cap of a grenadier officer, showing great character.
