Named and Painted WWII Army Air Force B-15 Flight Jacket with B-29 Bomber Artwork

$700.00

The olive green poplin B-15 flight jacket bears a leather tag on the upper left breast with the name “J.T. Everett”. On the upper right breast is a line drawing in red ink of a Japanese “Torii Gate”, the traditional Japanese gate most commonly found at the entrance of or within a Shinto shrine, where it symbolically marks the transition from the mundane to the sacred. Across the back of the jacket is painted the name “Jarelyn Dee” in red paint, below which is a drawing in red ink of a B-29 Superfortress bomber. The jacket mouton fur collar is intact, as is the pile lining. The full cloth Army Air Force property label remains intact inside the collar, with a stated size of “40”. The ribbed cuffs show wear and holes, and there is some edge wear to the right pocket exterior, but overall the jacket is in excellent condition. The Talon zipper is fully functional.
