The silk flag is approximately 28 inches by 37 inches. Two corners are reinforced and retain cord ties. The flag bears the slogan of “Eternal Good Fortune in Combat”, with the flag having some separations within the ink of the kanji. The flag displays the dedication of “Celebrate the Enlistment of Mr. Tetsu-Yu From the City of Kobe”. The flag was signed by an Imperial Army Lieutenant General, a Colonel, and a Lieutenant Colonel, as well as Technical Lieutenants, military instructors, army sergeants and technical engineers, with a total of approximately 48 signatures.
