Named and Cased 75th Infantry Division Silver Star and Purple Heart Pair

A World War II Silver Star for gallantry and Purple Heart decoration, both slot brooch examples in black titled cases with lapel badges and ribbon bars. Both decorations are officially engraved “William Pleming” on two lines. Pleming was awarded the Silver Star in General Order 205 from the Headquarters of the 75th Infantry Division in 1945. The action which led to the award of the Silver Star for gallantry was presumably also the action in which Pleming was wounded. Both decorations are in very good condition. The Silver Star case has a few exterior spots. The ribbon bar in the Silver Star case is a post-World War II example. A fine gallantry pair that is worthy of further research.
