The textured exterior finish shows spots, surface dirt, and abrasions from use in the field, with some areas of surface rust. The full interior leather liner and the fabric chin strap are present, both showing clear signs of wear and use, but both being complete and intact. Overall, a very interesting example of an M1917A1 helmet that clearly saw use in the field and which exhibits great character.
