Model 1916 German Camouflage Combat Helmet
The exterior paint on this helmet would rate as approximately 70% intact. The helmet is camouflaged with areas of brown, green, and rust red (a very dark red, almost brown in color) which are divided by wide black borders. The interior is stamped with a size of 66 and a manufacturer mark, though the manufacturer’s code is not readable. The three leather liner pads are present, and five of the six leather tongues on the pads are complete, with only one pad being torn at the top of the tongue where the drawstring would pass through. The drawstring itself is missing. The pillows behind the liner pads are filled and intact. The full leather chin strap remains present, however the strap is torn through where it was once connected to the right side strap retention hardware.
