Model 1916 Bavarian Reichswehr Combat Helmet by Eisenhuttenwerke

The helmet retains much of the exterior field gray paint, showing typical spots, scratches, and scuffs. The left side bears a large blue and white Bavarian shield as worn by the Bavarian Reichsheer in the immediate post war period. The interior surfaces of the helmet exhibits surface rust and it retains the leather liner band and the three leather helmet pads. The chin strap is no longer present. The interior side of the helmet shows the mark of “E.T. 66”, indicating a size 66 helmet shell that was manufactured by the firm of Eisenhuttenwerke in Thale. Overall very good used condition.
