Model 1899 Swiss Army Officer Sword by WKC

The sword has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 38 inches, with a blade length of approximately 31 inches. The plated blade is quite bright, showing a few minimal spots, and bearing an etched design featuring the Swiss cross on each side. The ricasso retains a leather washer and it bears the knight’s helmet trademark of the firm of Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie (“WKC”). The shark skin grip is without damage and it remains tightly triple wrapped with brass wire. The leather finger loop is in place at the base of the grip. The sword has an elaborate pierced basket hilt guard and knuckle bow, and the entire guard, back strap, and pommel retain a fine bright plating. The plated surfaces of the scabbard are similarly bright. Overall excellent condition.
