Model 1895 U.S. Army Officer’s Cap

The very dark blue wool cap is quite clean, without holes, damage or repairs. The front bears a gold embroidered bullion eagle which is toned with age. The surface of the visor exhibits age crazing. Across the visor is a gold bullion chin cord which is retained by gold eagle buttons. The full leather sweatband is present on the interior, with the lining of the crown having the logo of the firm of Jacob Reed’s Sons in Philadelphia. Overall very good condition.
