The sword has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 39 inches, with a blade length of approximately 32 inches. The plated, dual fuller blade shows spots and smudges, with some speckling of the plated surfaces. Overall, the blade is generally bright. The sword has a pierced folding clam shell guard with the Prussian eagle. The grip is covered in sharkskin, showing age but being without damage and remaining tightly wrapped with twisted wire, with the grip being mounted with the monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II. The guard, knuckle bow, and pommel all show an uncleaned patina with areas of wear to the finish, scattered spots and some verdigris. The leather finger loop inside of the guard is broken. The black paint on the scabbard shows age, with chips and scuffs.
