Model 1812 Ivory Grip NCO Sword by William Rose
A variant of the Model 1812 NCO sword, this example has a carved ivory grip, iron stirrup guard, cross guard, and ferrule. The single-sided blade has a narrow fuller and is 30 inches long, the sword being 35 inches long overall. The ivory grip is toned with age and has several cracks as well as a chip at the top where the guard connects to the grip. The blade exhibits areas of both graying a rust. The name “W. Rose” is impressed on the spine of the sword.
