Miniature 3/4 Size Second Model Luftwaffe Officer Dagger by SMF

The miniature second model Luftwaffe officer’s dagger is approximately 9 1/4 inches long in the scabbard, placing it in the class of a three-quarter size dagger. The pommel and the guard are aluminum. The celluloid grip is a deep pumpkin orange and is wrapped with twisted wire. There is a very small chip to the top segment of the grip on the reverse side. The blade is quite bright, with the reverse ricasso bearing the SMF manufacturer mark and “D.R.G.M.”. There is some minor disturbance to the plating of the blade on the obverse side just beneath the guard. The scabbad has a fine, uncleaned, patina and both suspension rings are present o the scabbard. Overall the dagger is in excellent condition.
