Luftwaffe Officer Dagger with Hangers and Portepee

The blade of the dagger is generally bright, with surface dirt and some spots, primarily towards the tip, but with visible crossgrain and without nicks or chips. The white celluloid grip is similarly without chips and it remains wrapped in twisted brass wire. The grip does have a tiny crack in the top segment on the rear, and a crack in one of the lower segments which is covered by the portepee cord. An officer’s portepee is wrapped around the base of the grip and it exhibits fraying of the cord but it is complete and intact. The scabbard has surface grime and an uncleaned patina. The hangers show use and age, but the fabric straps are without fraying and they are complete.
