Luftwaffe Major of Flight or Paratroops Uniform with Tunic and Trousers

The uniform is comprised of the tunic and a pair of trousers in Luftwaffe blue wool. The tunic carries the collar tabs and shoulder boards of a Major of the flight or paratroop branches. The tunic has three loops above the upper left breast pocket for the wear of a medal bar or a ribbon bar. On the lower left breast are sets of loops for three badges or decorations, while the ribbon for the 1939 Iron Cross Second class is sewn into the buttonhole. On the right breast is a set of loops for the wear of a Spanish Cross or a German Cross. The officer dress aiguillette is present on the tunic, secured to a button underneath the right shoulder board. The tunic is accompanied by a pair of trousers which contain a label with the name of the owner, giving his rank as “Flieger”. Both the tunic and the trousers are tailored in a high quality wool, and both the tunic and trousers are exceptionally clean, and without holes, damage, or repairs. Overall the uniform makes a very impressive appearance.
