Luftwaffe Legion Condor Jagdgruppe 88 Soldbuch Cover

Hand crafted brown leather soldbuch cover for a Luftwaffe soldier serving with the Legion Condor in the Spanish Civil War. Raised relief design on the front cover depicts a Luftwaffe eagle on a map of Spain. Above the design is “Legion Condor” and beneath the design appears to be the designation for the 3rd squadron of Jagdgruppe 88. On the back cover is the crest of Spain, above which is the designation “Espana” and beneath is the designation “1936-37-38.” The soldbuch cover is 4 1/4 by 5 3/4 inches in size when closed, and 8 1/2 by 5 3/4 inches when open. Shows use but in excellent condition.
