Long Double Engraved Army Stag Handle Dress Bayonet by E. Pack & Sohne with Frog

The long dress bayonet has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 15-1/2 inches. The blade shows relatively minor spots, but overall the blade is quite bright. The blade is engraved on both sides. One side bears an etch which includes the service motto of “Zur Erinnerung an Meine Dienstzeit”, together with a machine gun crew, an anti-tank gun and crew, and an advancing tank. The opposite side is etched with two closed wing army eagles as well as a German army Sd. Kfz. 6 half track tractor, containing troops and pulling a howitzer. The ricasso bears the maker mark of the firm of E. Pack & Sohne, with the leather washer in place at the top of the blade. The stag grips are without chips or damage. The guard and the pommel are bright. There is a red felt insert within the rifle slot. The scabbard has minor wear to the black paint. The black leather frog shows age crazing but it is complete and intact. Overall very good condition.
