Legion Condor Honor Cross for Next of Kin

The cross shows very fine detail with a toned and completely intact finish. The cross is multi piece construction, with the obverse having a separately applied disk bearing the swastika. Each of the bronze eagles is slightly vaulted and separately applied between the arms of the cross. The obverse side of the ribbon exhibits wear and fading, while the reverse side retains its colors. In the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War the Third Reich awarded 315 Honor Crosses to the next of kin of members of the Legion Condor who were killed or died in Spain while serving in the civil war.
